Farmer Uses Special Connection To Find Pets

Searching for a missing pet can be a frustrating and heartbreaking experience. In desperation, some pet owners are turning to a Southern Maine farmer for help. She claims her supernatural connections can help four-legged friends find their way home.

Laurie Kennedy has always been an animal lover. She raises horses, ponies and other livestock on her farm. A decade ago, she discovered what she calls her ‘supernatural’ connection to animals during a visit from her horse’s dentist. The dentist had to leave to treat another horse with a tooth problem—Kennedy says she immediately knew what was wrong.

“It was in her mouth on the right, second tooth from the back on the bottom—something is stuck there. So she went and checked the mare and called me up later and said you’re right, that’s where it was,” said Kennedy.

The dentist began referring people who lost their pets to Kennedy. Over the phone, Kennedy acts as an intermediary between the animals and their owners. Read Article
